It is a bright, sunny and very happy day for cosplayers in Singapore. The GeekStrike team arrived amid a crowd of photographers and cosplayers at Downtown East, where the event is being held for the past 7 years. As usual, there is the cosplay competition being held on stage and some very interesting performances put up by them as well. Anime fans can also check out the various booths selling doujinshi and other anime related accessories. Near the stage is an open field where cosplayers can pose for shots, the reason everyone is here for.
And like every other cosplay event, there is the obligatory Naruto and Bleach cosplay. More hardcore fans will be able to recognize the Haruhi and Lucky Star characters. The Code Geass team is here as well, and for mecha fans, there’s the Gundam 00 and Seed cosplayers. Wait, Code Geass is mecha…or is it not? Never mind. Almost every genre is being represented here. Even games like Team Fortress 2, despite being completely unrelated to anime and manga. And I must say, the Pyro is teh awesome. Warhammer 40k is also represented here in the form of an Inquisitor!
