There you have it, folks. The world’s first USB 3.0 ports on Asus’s new P6X58 motherboard. No word out yet on when this baby will be released or what it will be priced at. Other juicy features include:
- Core i7 compatibility
- 6 DDR3 slots
- 3 PCIe 2.0 slots
USB 3.0 is said to be 10 times faster in transfer rates than its predecessor as well as being backward compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1 devices, so there is no reason not to adopt this new standard. Asus has taken a bold first step and hopefully, others will follow suit.
