Razer has always made good gaming grade mice for gamers. However, their mice have a tendency to be not so…portable. Editor Kevin actually broke his Deathadder when he carried it around too much. Add this to the fact that notebook sales has already surpassed PC sales and Razer has to naturally come up with a mouse to capture this portion of the market. The Orochi is their first attempt to make a mobile mouse with gaming capabilities. It has the following features:
- Bluetooth® 2.0 connectivity
- Dual mode wired/wireless functionality
- 4000dpi Razer Precision™ 3G Laser sensor
- Razer Synapse™ On-board Memory
- On-The-Fly Sensitivity™ adjustment
- Up to 100 inches per second
- Detachable three foot, lightweight, braided cord
- Powered by 2 AA batteries
(Approx. 1-3 months under normal usage) - Ambidextrous
- From the looks of it, also comes with a pouch

Seems to be a less powerful version of their top-of-the-line Mamba, except that it uses AA batteries and is ambidextrous. It will also be USD$50 cheaper at $79.99 and will be available mid-August.
*UPDATE*
The Kabuto is also a new mousepad meant to complement the Orochi (what’s with the Japanese names Razer?). It is thin enough to be slotted in between the laptop screen and keyboard and doubles as a screen protector. Neat, but you have to cough up USD$19.99 for it.
