Dragon Quest IX has become the fastest selling game on the NDS in Japan, with 3.2 million units sold on the first 3 weeks of sales, raising the eyes of nobody who saw how crazy the land of the rising sun is over this series. While Square Enix is probably laughing on the way to the bank, Nintendo is too celebrating the boost DQIX has brought to the DS sales.
Square Enix expects to sell at least 5 million of its blockbuster franchise, the 10th game to receive a perfect score of 40/40 from Famitsu, when all is said and done.
