Pardon for the late postings as I return to the drudgery of school.

The GeekStrike Team recently made it’s way to Genting Highlands to take in the sights and sounds of the Sound, Lights and Visual Expo where we are treated to a great expanse of innovation in all of the above categories. At the entrance of the exhibit, we found ourselves face to face with this optical illusion that involves water, light and a liberal sprinkling of imagination.

The big names found in this event are namely Shure, JBL and Panasonic with their large presence as well as huge sound systems and screens.

Check out this Bejewelled clone being showcased on a large LCD touchscreen monitor.

Largely seen as a gimmick for children in many shopping malls, but this car racing game can be controlled with your feet via the projected screen. Pretty interesting concept to develop upon as it is far more sensitive and playable than most types I have seen so far.

Now, let’s hope the SLV will one day expand into a bigger and more regional expo where many technologies and innovations can be shared across South East Asia! Check out the gallery for more sights and sound!
