WoW.com has revealed that the next — annually released — World of Warcraft expansion is called World of Warcraft: Cataclysm and it is said to have 2 new playable races. And they are:
*Roll the drums*
Alliance – Worgen
Horde – Goblin
Durane commented on WoW.com with a detailed and plausible explanation, lore-wise, as to why goblins and worgens would join the Horde and Alliance respectively.
Hold your horses and kodos now as this is still a rumor. All shall be revealed at Blizzcon 2009 that’s taking place less than 2 weeks from now.

Cataclysm will probably be about Azshara and the naga rising once again…as is implied in Rise of the Lich King.
Also, if goblins really become playable I think it’ll be cool. They say in Undermine the roads are paved in gold…
