Nuff said, with choice lines like… “While Apple values and appreciates vibrant public commentary about its products, we believe you and your company have crossed the line by offering a bounty for the theft of Apple’s trade secrets…” Apple is taking Valleywag and Gawker Media’s offer for the aforementioned ‘bounty’ seriously to prevent “misunderstandings”.

Gawker and Valleywag on the other hand is still pretty calm about this, keeping the offer open to the public as long as they do not ‘break any laws’. Makes me wonder how would anyone disclose a computer secret without breaking the law? Perhaps I would need enlightening on that as I am no legal eagle or claim to be an expert on international trade law.

Now.. Gawker is attracting a lot of publicity on this… let’s hope the Foxconn employees don’t read anything about this Scavenger Hunt for information.. another death or two is bad for publicity…
